The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers begins in the hills of Emyn Muil, where lost Hobbits Frodo (Elijah Wood) and Sam (Sean Astin) discover they are being followed by the mysterious Gollum (Andy Serkis). A mercurial creature who has himself been warped by the Ring, Gollum promises to guide the Hobbits to the Black Gates of Mordor if they will release him. Sam does not trust their new companion, but Frodo takes pity on Gollum, who like himself was once a Ringbearer.
Across Middle-earth Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), the Elf archer Legolas (Orlando Bloom) and Gimli the Dwarf (John Rhys-Davies) encounter the besieged Rohan kindgdom, whose once great King Theoden (Bernard Hill) has fallen under Saruman’s deadly spell through the manipulations of his spy, the sinister Wormtongue (Brad Dourif). Eowyn (Miranda Otto), the niece of the King, recognizes a leader in the Human warrior Aragorn. And though he finds himself drawn to her, Aragorn is constantly reminded of his enduring love for the Elf Arwen (Liv Tyler) and the pact they made together.
Gandalf (Ian McKellen) has been reborn as Gandalf the White following his cataclysmic fight with the Balrog, and reminds Aragorn of his destiny to unite the Rohan people with the last remaining stronghold of Human resistance ? Gondor.
Meanwhile, the captured Hobbits Merry (Dominic Mohaghan) and Pippin (Billy Boyd) has escaped from the Uruk-hai on their own, fleeing into the mysterious Fangorn Forest, where they discover and unexpected ally among the ancient trees ? Treebeard, a living, walking tree-shepherd, whose forest Saruman has decimated.
In their parallel journeys, the Fellowship will face unimaginable armies and deception while also witnessing ancient wonders and untapped strength of their people. Together they must stand against the powerful forces spreading from the Two Towers ? Orthanc Tower in Isengard, where the corrupted wizard Saruman has bred a lethal army 10,000 strong; and Sauron’s fortress at Barad-dur, deep within the dark lands of Mordro.

GRIMA WORMTONGUE
Veteran actor Brad Dourif joins The Two Towers as Grima Wormtongue, a man of Rohan who became an agent to the evil Saruman and serves as advisor and confidant to King Theoden of Rohan. Using his insidious influences on the weakened king, Wormtongue does grave damage to the Rohan Kingdom as he secretly aides the wizard in his plot to kill its king. Connving and duplicitous, Wormtongue is a key villain in The Two Towers.

Since making his motion picture debut in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, a role which garnered him an Academy Awardｮ nomination, a Golden Globe Award, and a BAFTA Award, Brad Dourif has appeared in over fifty films. His film credits include Ragtime, Mississippi Burning, The Eyes of Laura Mars, Wise Blood, Blue Velvet, Dune, The Exorcist III, Hidden Agenda, Jungle Fever, Murder in the First, The Color of Night, Nightwatch, and Senseless, to name just a few. He received the Fangoria Chainsaw Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Body Parts, and a Genie Award Nomination for Best Actor for his role in Common Bonds. He has also appeared in the Jean Pierre Jeunet's Alien Resurrection, the independent films Soulkeeper, The Ghost and Brown's Requiem, and played the "Voice of Chucky" in all four Child's Play films.
For television, Dourif has guest-starred on such series as Millennium,
The X-Files, and Tales From The Crypt, and was a series regular on ABC's
The Secret Lives of Men. His movie-of-the-week and mini-series credits
